According to Deloitte, the half-life of a learned skill is 5 years. That means that every five years, you have to update your skills to stay relevant in your industry. I’m sure people aren’t quitting their jobs every five years to go back to school. Instead, they are getting the training or learning they need either through their employer or on their own time.
